Destination Cape Town Premieres on TV BRICS in Russia

The City of Cape Town’s locally produced destination ​video has premiered on Russia’s TV BRICS after taking top honours at the recent International Tourism Film Festival Africa (ITFFA) Awards.

The video promotes the city as a premier destination in Africa to visit, live, work, study, play and invest.

Cape Town scooped three prizes during the prestigious ITFFA awards ceremony, streamed online this year due to Covid-19. Two of the winning entries were produced by Sledgehammer Studios and one by SoapBox Films.

Love Cape Town – the Movie, commissioned by Cape Town Tourism and produced by Sledgehammer, won first prize in the Tourism Destination: City category, while Cape Town Tourism’s Welcome to Khayelitsha (also by Sledgehammer) and the City’s ​Destination Cape Town video, by SoapBox, received a joint second prize in the same category.
